- Anyone into MMORPGs has likely heard of NCSoft. The company and its subsidiaries are responsible for Guild Wars 2, Blade & Soul, Lineage, and WildStar; sure, not all those projects can be classified as roaring successes, but they nevertheless showcase the developer's expertise Throne and Liberty is shaping up to be among NCSoft's most ambitious projects to date, especially since the MMORPG has been in development for more than a decade by this point.

- Following countless delays, the game has finally reached a state when a release date can be announced, with the MMORPG dropping on September 17, 2024. Throne and Liberty should include traditional quests, a weather system, and a mechanic that permits players to transform into animals. Beyond that, the title focuses on guild-based conflicts, with players trying to spread their chosen group's influence across the nation. Marketed as PvPvE, Throne and Liberty looks set to target quite a wide range of gameplay styles; hopefully, it proves to be successful.

However, the reaction to the game's announcement was somewhat muted, with the tone being almost defined by confusion rather than excitement. That's not to say Titan Forge and Hi-Rez's sequel looks bad, as it seems to be an evolution of the original Smite that comes with a notable graphical upgrade thanks to the use of Unreal Engine 5  When it debuts, Smite 2 should be among the genre's most accessible representatives, and a fresh start might help attract newcomers who feel too intimidated to jump into the 10-year-old original game.

Still, Smite 2 does not seem to be all that different from its predecessor. Going on the currently available information, the upgrade appears to be more in line with Counter-Strike 2's improvements instead of a traditional sequel  Hi-Rez has confirmed that the first game will not be shutting down to coincide with its successor's debut, a decision that might discourage fans from swapping products. At the same time, one has to assume the clock is ticking on Smite's life.

For one, the spin-off will utilize real-time strategy combat, although exact details on the system's mechanics have yet to be provided. It is also unclear whether the game will employ gacha mechanics, although that seems likely. More importantly, Endfield will be available on PC, an ecosystem that Arknights has yet to target specifically.

An Eastern MMORPG that completed an Exploratory Closed Beta Test in June 2023, Perfect New World has a ways to go before reaching completion, but Ironcore is working on implementing a wide range of changes inspired by user feedback. There is the release date for Black Myth Wukong, one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year, and there is also the release date for Star Wars Outlaws. UFC 304 features two title fights at the top of the card. Both of those battles are rematches. In the main event, UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards faces Belal Muhammad. In the UFC 304 co-main event, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall faces Curtis Blaydes.UFC 304 takes place at Co-op Live in Manchester, England. The main card streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view at 10:00 p.m. ET. The ESPN2 prelims begin at 8:00 p.m. ET and follow the ESPN+ streaming early prelims, which start at 6:15 p.m. ET.

Edwards has defended his crown twice since winning the UFC welterweight title in August 2022. When Edwards and Muhammad first met, it was in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card from the Apex in March 2021. At the time, Edwards was on an eight-fight winning streak, while Muhammad had won four in a row. Edwards entered the contest as the No. 3 fighter in the UFC welterweight rankings and a -270 betting favorite, Muhammad was ranked at No. 13 and the +220 betting underdog.

The bout did not last long, ending early in the second round because of a nasty eye poke from Edwards, but there were some notable takeaways from the 5:18 of fight time.Edwards established control of the pace and space of the fight early. He used forward pressure to force Muhammad onto his back foot while also putting Muhammad’s back to the fence. The higher-ranked fighter mixed up his targets and techniques and showed that he was unafraid to engage Muhammad in the clinch, where Muhammad was thought to have an advantage. Edwards also scored a big head kick that wobbled Muhammad early in the first round. After that, Edwards did an admirable job of mixing things up. He switched stances well and did more damage with his strikes.

Edwards landed 48 percent of his significant strikes in that contest, while Muhammad landed 30 percent. While Muhammad concentrated on head strikes (87 percent) and landed a few body blows (12 percent) but zero leg kicks, Edwards mixed up his targets (53 percent to the head, 26 percent to the body, and 21 percent to the legs).

-Careers Leon Edwards

 Leon Edwards (22-3-0-1) joined the UFC in late 2014. He was 8-1 at the time and coming off a successful defense of the BAMMA British welterweight title.

Edwards dropped his UFC debut, losing a split decision to Claudio Silva in November 2014. He then scored a knockout win and a “Performance of the Night” bonus against Seth Baczynski. A decision victory over Pawel Pawlak followed.

In December 2015, Edwards faced Kamaru Usman on the early prelims of a UFC on Fox card. Usman won that contest by unanimous decision. That fight, which took place more than eight years ago, was the last time Edwards was on the losing end of a UFC contest.

Following his loss to Usman, Edwards picked up wins over Dominic Waters (decision), Albert Tumenov (submission), Vicente Luque (decision), and Bryan Barberena (decision). The victory over Barberena, which came on the main card of a September 2017 UFC Fight Night event in Rotterdam, earned Edwards the No. 15 spot in the welterweight rankings.

After that, Edwards went on a four-fight winning streak, picking up three decision wins and one TKO. That stretch of wins put him at No. 3 in the rankings. Edwards was initially booked to face former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in March 2020, but Edwards, who fights out of England, was forced to withdraw from that event due to COVID-19 restrictions after the card was moved from the UK to the US. The event was eventually scrapped.After the Woodley fight was canceled, Edwards wanted to fight Jorge Masvidal, someone ranked ahead of him or for the UFC welterweight crown. With none of those fights being offered to him, Edwards was inactive. That inactivity resulted in the UFC removing him from the rankings, something he did not take well.

One day after the UFC removed Edwards from the rankings, the promotion announced Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev for a UFC Fight Night event in December 2020. With that booking, the UFC put Edwards back into the rankings at No. 3. That fight never took place as both fighters tested positive for COVID. Chimaev then pulled out of the rebooked fight because of lingering COVID effects. The UFC tried to book the bout again, but Chimaev was again forced out because he was still dealing with COVID issues. With that, the UFC booked the Edwards vs. Muhammad contest discussed above.

A decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 263 in June 2021 followed for Edwards, which set up Edwards vs. then-champion Usman for the welterweight title in March 2023. Edwards. Behind on all three scorecards as the clock ticked down, Edwards delivered a perfectly placed and timed head kick that dropped Usman to the mat at 4:04 of the final round. With that, Edwards captured UFC gold.Edwards defeated Usman in the March 2023 rematch by majority decision. He then defended the title in December 2023 with a unanimous decision win over Colby Covington.Edwards is unbeaten in 13 fights.

- Belal Muhammad

Belal Muhammad (23-3-0-1) joined the UFC in 2016. His record was 9-0 at the time, with six decision wins and three knockouts. When the UFC signed him, he was coming off a victory for the inaugural Titan FC welterweight title Muhammad did not find immediate success in the UFC. In his debut, he lost to Alan Jouban, bounced back with a TKO over Augusto Montano, and was knocked out by Vicente Luque in his third promotional outing.Muhammad followed the Luque setback with four straight decision wins. That run of victories ended in January 2019 when Geoff Neal defeated Muhammad by unanimous decision on the early prelims of a UFC Fight Night card in Brooklyn, New York.Muhammad responded to that loss with three wins.

The third victory during that run, a decision win over Lyman Good, launched him into the welterweight rankings at No. 13. A February 2021 decision win over Dhiego Lima followed the Good win, and set Muhammad up to face Edwards for the first time.

Since the no contest bout against Edwards, Muhammad has won five straight. His wins during that stretch are over Demian Maia (decision), Stephen Thompson (decision), Vicente Luque (decision), Sean Brady (TKO) and most recently Gilbert Burns the co-main event of the UFC 288 pay-per-view card in May 2023.Muhammad is unbeaten in 10 fights.

Concord is a team-based FPS with a unique visual style. Its color palette and design distinguish it in a crowded market. Featuring 5v5 gameplay, multiple PvP modes, and different character abilities, it looks promising.it arrives on PC and PS5 on August 23.

 8- Gory Cuddly Carnage

From Angry Demon Studio, Gory Cuddly Carnage is a hack-and-slash game where you play as a cat warrior in a future world gone awry. The plot takes a backseat to its engaging gameplay and vibrant visuals. Look for it on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch on August 26

9 -Squirrel with a Gun

The title says it all: a squirrel armed with a gun, navigating a sandbox environment. While it reads like "Goat Simulator," it promises more polished gameplay. Expect slick gunplay, engaging animations, and even bullet time sequences. Squirrel with a Gun lands on PC on August 29 and will hit consoles later in November.

10 - Visions of Mana

The iconic Mana series returns with Visions of Mana. The series hasn't seen a new title since Dawn of Mana in 2006. This game aims to recapture what made Secret of Mana a legend, combining engaging aesthetics with classic gameplay mechanics. Expect it to hit PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on August 29.

- Starship Troopers: Extermination Gets October Release Date, Single-Player Campaign With Casper Van Dien

First revealed in 2022, Starship Troopers: Extermination, the upcoming FPS based on the classic Starship Troopers movies, has been in early access for over a year. Now, it finally has a release date, and it's also coming to consoles with a new mode in store.

Today during IGN Live, development team Offworld (along with Sony Pictures Consumer Products) announced that Starship Troopers: Extermination is officially headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 11. It's also receiving a single-player campaign starring actor Casper Van Dien, who played protagonist Johnny Rico in the original films.

General John "Johnny Rico" will command players, along with their three NPC allies original to the game, in the campaign. The mode will have 25 missions, with a second chapter on its way after launch.

Offworld also mentioned that crossplay will be enabled at launch. Additionally, the developer will soon share more information about the game's upcoming update, which is slated for release at the end of June.

Starship Troopers: Extermination - Early Access Screenshots

Starship Troopers: Extermination is a co-op PvE FPS game that lets up to 16 players recreate the action from the original movies and fight off seemingly endless alien bugs in several different modes. We gave it a 6 in our early access review, saying that "with some time, Extermination could become the premier bug-stomping romp for big teams," and adding that it "captures the film's breakneck pace" in our preview.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is also now being published by Knights Peak, a new European division of MY.GAMES that announced several more games today.
